I enjoy the outdoors, sports, movies, just about anything. I suppose it doesn’t have to be specifically for Christians, but it would be nice if there were some other Christians in the group.

I organize activites for singles in my area, about 15 people right now, looking like it will be 20 or more by the fall. I have the summer mostly planned, and I was wondering if anyone can suggest some good activities come fall when summer fun slows down? We tend to lean towards board game nights and birthday parties and such for the winter, but this year I wanted to make things a bit more exciting. I have some ideas to help spice up the winter blahs, but I wondered if anyone would be willing to offer some ideas as well? This is a group of people ages 23-30 right now, and almost everyone is single, and non of us are married. Most of us are Christians, so we like to keep the fun clean. Games that aren’t about flirting or romance would be best as well as that usually only leads to hurt and unintentional broken hearts. Thanks for any ideas you can give me to add to the other ideas I want to put into place this fall.
BTW, we have access to a rather large gym at a local church if that helps with thinking up some ideas. Thanks
Scavenger hunt is actually what I have on the list for two weekends from now.

Do a "Polaroid Panic" named after the Polaroid camera. However, you can do it with a digital camera instead.

The idea is to break down to teams of 4 or 5 people. Have a list of items with points associated with them that they must take a photo of. For example, a horse, worth 3 points, a horse with a member of the team on it, 5 points, each additional member 5 points. Have a list of about 50 items. Give each team two hours so do it. Meet back at the Church after two hours and compare photos.

We did this in San Francisco one year, great way of learning the city.

I saw some cute girls come out of a singles christian ministry or club………I was thinking what is a pretty girl doing like that there? What I find weird is that I saw this girl and 2 guys she seemed to know walk out of that place. Why would she come with 2 guys she already knows at that place?
she was quite good looking!!! So yeah I don’t understand…they most likely knew each other just by the way they walked out and how they were leaving together
why would she go with her BOYFRIENDS to a single christians service ? lol you go there to find people not to go with your boyfriend hah

Of course I would enjoy getting to know any single men in my large church better but I also think we need a place as women to support each other. Single "older" adults go through so many different things and it is hard to find good fellowship. Has anyone had any success starting and keeping a group going?

I can’t really answer how to get one started, but one thing I strongly suggest. Have singles in charge of it. As a single adult, it ticks me off when they think they have to put a married couple in charge of a singles program. As if we singles are not "spiritual" enough or "stable" enough to lead our own program.

Two things to avoid, in my opinion, besides the biggie above, are to keep the group from becoming a Christian version of a singles bar or a whining place.

Maybe start as a singles Bible study (not studying singleness, but just growing deeper in your relationship with Christ). Then you can start planning activities to do in the evenings. I think activities are an important thing to singles so they can connect with others and have people to do things with.

well im new here in houston and i just wana find someone nice to enjoy and have fun together im 20year old and well i dont wan be lonly all my life if anyone knows a good place in the area plz let me know ty for your time^^

Christain social events… Church?

I dont know of any ’singles’ christian tours but Pilgrim Tours has a christian type program touring some biblical or historical sites around the world. It is a tad more expensive if you are single by the way. The best thing is if you can to ask some friends along and just have a good time.

why do they have christian singles? can’t you just go to church to find your pickens’ among the christian men.

Yes I could if they were any. I am looking for that one that God has for me.

Been looking for a website for singles who are Christian, but the only one I have seen is eHarmony which is pricy (for me, that is).
